Schedule of Events

12:30 PM

  • Event setup
  • Pick up food & drinks
  • Time for interviews

2:30 PM

  • Someone needs to go to Theta Chi to overview set up

3:30 PM

  • Food set up should be finished
  • Brief film students

3:45 PM

  • Brief judges on last minute details

4:00 PM

  • 10 minute Keynote presentation about project by Akshita, Cody, Eric, & Jameson

4:15 PM

  • Design teams present their concepts (no formal presentation, students stand with boards to give pitch & answer questions as judges & others come by)
  • Student projects will be represented by posters, & students will be available to discuss

4:30 PM

  • Set up at Theta Chi should be finished

5:00 PM

  • Judges adjourn to discuss designs
  • Others may continue to view designs & student projects

5:30 PM

  • Winners announced (trophy & check may/may not be awarded at this time)
  • A few students leave to set up Smart House site & Theta Chi house

5:40 PM

  • Shuttle people to Smart House site

6:00 PM

  • Bartender should be set up at Theta Chi by now
  • Begin short tour of first floor of Smart House site
  • Design teams can clarify their concepts in the house
  • Possibly displaying multitouch screen project

6:30 PM

  • Walk around corner to Theta Chi fraternity house for reception
  • Shuttle will run back and forth to Paul Peck Center until 8:15 PM

Making the Case for the Lab

  • Make a poster
  • Make a petition list with signatures
